Namaste America hosts the American Food and Music Festival


Namaste America, the Indo American Association of Art and Culture, is committed to promote and foster goodwill between the people of the United States of America and India by providing a platform for their cultural and trade exchange particularly in the areas of Education, Media, Entertainment, Science & Sports.

Atul Nishar, President of Namaste America, Indo-American Association for Art & Culture andKailash Surendranath, Director, Kailash Picture Co. hosted an American food and music festival last week in Mumbai. This event gave the guests an opportunity to indulge and unwind with live American music and dance performances. Peter Haas, US Consul General, Mumbai was the Chief Guest and Deanna Abdeen, Consular Section Chief, US Consulate, Mumbai was the Guest of Honour for the event.

Gautam Rode, a Television actor and popular host was present at the event as special guest.

The afternoon was attended by dignitaries across the city from Industrialists, Corporate CEO’s, US Consulate Staff to numerous other personalities. There was a special performance by Rahul Saxena's dance team. Guests enjoyed the American treats and danced to the beats of Sharmila Dias (who enlivened the afternoon with a wonderful vocal performance with her band.)

Seen exchanging pleasantries were, Alka Nishar, Arti Surendranath, Nayan and Parul Patel, Sunita Rao, Minal and Niraj Bajaj, Indu Shahani, Sunita and Neeraj Bhargava, Talat Aziz, Shailesh and Ankita Haribhakti, Ashwini Kakkar, Suketu Shah,Malti Jain, Devita Saraf, Raelle Padamesse, Anaya Dutta, Bharat Dhabolkar, Rukshana and Mustafa Eisa, Bina Choksi, Sejal and Muni Jha, Kamlesh Hemdev, Naaz & Remu Javeri, Kishin Mulchandani etc.
