JW Marriott Kolkata has come forward in supporting the international Women Economic Forum to offer a compelling platform for women empowerment and inspiration, bringing together a rich confluence of inspiring women leaders and achievers from All walks of life from India and abroad to be part of the Women Economic Forum in Kolkata. WEF-Kolkata 2017 is from 2nd Jan to 3rd Jan on the theme “Shakti Unleashed: Awakening the Power Within."

Over 400 women and supportive men will be joining in what promises to be magical confluence of enlightened leaders coming together to individually and collectively be the change we wish to see. There are over 50+ sessions spread over the two days with over 150+speakers. Chief Minister Mamta Bannerjee will be inaugurating the forum, along speakers and awardees like industry stalwarts Hemant Kanoria, Rajive Kaul, Alka Bangur, Sanjay Jhunjhunwala; bankers like Anuradha Roy of SBI Mutual; leaders in art and culture like Bickram Ghosh, Shamlu Dudeja; social leaders like Madhu Neotia, Preeti Goenka, Minu Budhia, Threety Irani; NRIs and speakers from abroad, along with Ambassadors, Diplomats, Judges, Lawyers, Police, Bureaucrats, Artists, Actors, and Young Entrepreneurs and Students, and women from the grassroots.

Speaking for the the Women Economic Forum, Dr. Harbeen Arora, founder and Global Chairperson said that WEF is an international conference brought by the ALL Ladies League to foster empowering conversations and seamless connections among women, along with supportive men, from ALL walks of life so that we feel connected as One family and can thus build lasting bonds at professional and personal levels with strength and purpose; bringing progress to self and society. Women Economic Forum events take place throughout the year and across the globe empowering women to expand their business opportunities and increase their global influence through peer exchange, networking across borders while being inspired by some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, authors, speakers, leaders, and celebrities. Regional events are held throughout the year in different parts of the world, like the one coming up in the Hague, followed by London in Jan-Feb. The Annual event is held in New Delhi, India in May. Post May, more events are coming in the US, Canada, Maldives, South Africa, Iceland , New Zealand and Morocco.
