The Gem & Jewelry Export Promotion Council’s (GJEPC) flagship trade show, the India International Jewelry Show (IIJS) Premiere 2021, is being organized in physical form for the first time after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also be the first time that the show will be held outside Mumbai, in Bengaluru at the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).

GJEPC Chairman Colin Shah said, “We are delighted to announce the 37th edition of IIJS Premiere 2021. Ensuring that all protocols are followed will be our top priority. We are looking forward to the show and hoping to meet the sourcing needs of buyers for the upcoming festive season. An event of this magnitude needs a great venue, so we are glad that BIEC stepped up to help us organize it. I would like to express my gratitude to the Central and Karnataka State government for offering all the support in organizing the first physical show after the lockdown”

Shailesh Sangani, Convener, Exhibitions, GJEPC, said, “We have finalized Bengaluru as our destination to host IIJS Premiere this year, owing to the venue constraints in Mumbai. The Karnataka Govt. was quick to offer all the necessary approvals to organize the show. Shifting the venue has not affected the participants' enthusiasm, as evident from the applications received from 1275 companies for 2444 stalls. As always, the security of this show will be handled by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which has already completed the initial recce visit of the location.”

Mansukh Kothari, Co-convener, National Exhibitions, GJEPC, “We have planned a series of road shows to promote IIJS Premiere in major cities including Mumbai, Cochin, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Lucknow, and Kolkata.”

The IIJS is India’s largest B2B gems and jewelry exhibition. It hosts the industry’s biggest gathering of domestic and overseas buyers and is the primary platform for Indian jewelry manufacturers to work with retailers, enabling them to gain insights into demand trends and product designs.

Among the top 5 gem and jewelry shows happening globally, IIJS Premiere 2021 will enable visitors to connect directly with more than 1275 jewelry manufacturers and exhibitors from across India. The event will showcase versatile jewelry crafted with the highest standards of design and finish.

All registrations for the latest edition will be processed online. Since this is the GJEPC’s first in-person trade show after the lockdown, it will follow all COVID-19 protocols to ensure safety. All Event Attendees would be required to follow covid safely protocols as per the Karnataka Govt. norms. One dose vaccine Certificate is compulsory and RTPCR Report (48 hrs.); and for double vaccinated attendees, RTPCR test is not required.
