World Weaver’s Forum (WWF) jointly organized by IAMKHAADII Foundation and FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) Ludhiana in association KVIC, Central Silk Board and TRIFED aims at creation of New Innovative Products and Designs by artisans, fashion designers and technical experts who will work together to create uniquely fresh product ideas for both Indian and global consumers. 

IAMKHADI understands and appreciates this huge global opportunity and aims to expand its scope to the fullest. Towards the pursuit of widening the reach of Khadi & Handloom domestic retailing & exports to foreign countries, IAMKHADI have been working dedicatedly to bring in standardization and design intervention in Khadi & Handloom industry and thus helping the value chain to be dynamic and responsive towards ever changing demands from domestic and global customers. IAMKHADI is trying to bridge the gap between buyers and producers offline.

FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) – one of the most prestigious pan India forums working towards the goal of women empowerment – in its bid to boost country's handwoven, hand embroidered and handcrafted heritage, will be working directly with weavers and designers to boost sales in India and abroad.

Taking forward the footprints of an event 'Hathkargha 2018’ (two-day Handloom Buyer Seller Business Meet) organized by FLO in October 2018 in presence of Hon'ble Textile Minister, Smriti Irani and Pinky Reddy, President FLO.

Founding Member FDCI and Star designer and Founding Member FDCI, Anju Modi along with CEO Central Silk Board Mr. R R Okhandiar (IFS) were the Chief Guest of WWF. KHADI dresses are displayed by doing amalgamation of Cotton and Silk by different clothes line of various designers like Divya Jain, Shivali Karla, Sameera Auluck and Vandana Verma.  IAMKHADI models were Himani Saxena, Roop, Khushboo, Cathy Noel, Sabroop and Ishmeen.

Officials represented and share their views from KVIC, CENTRAL SILK BOARD, TRIFED, NABARD, INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (IISD), NATIONAL CENTRE FOR DESIGN AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT (NCDPD), DAINIK JAGRAN, NIFT KANGRA (HP), LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY, UNITE4:GOOD (US).

WWF was supported by sponsors like ARAAISH,GLAM DA, HOME SIGNATURE, SUPREET BEDI, an NGO, Arya Bharat who is working in sustainable livelihood development of weavers/ artisans and CraftBuzz was an event partner.

Yash Arya, Founder, IAMKHADI said, “This curtain WWF is a unique initiative which would connect artisans at the grass-root level to global retailers & buyers. The global forum would explore the possibilities of both inter - state fusions of various art forms on handloom and Khadi as well as cross country fusions of art forms from various countries.

Reena Aggarwal said, Chairperson FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) Ludhiana, KHADI being eco-friendly need to have "New Design Intervention, Innovation and Development" for marketing & exports of products and to strengthen the value chain is possible by connecting HANDLOOM clusters with Design Institutes at a pan India level for the same purpose.

Also change of guard ceremony took place and New Chairperson FLO Ludhiana Smt. Nandita Bhaskar was appointed. 

IAMKHADI is also doing WORLD KHADI FORUM (WKF) in association with FICCI, which will be purely B2B Meet where, 150 exclusive khadi buyers from 20+ countries will be invited & 100 exhibitors with IEC Code will showcase Khadi Furnishing, Garments and Fabrics for giving impetus to global exports of Khadi from local to global. It will be held in FEB 2020.
