The India tour of Punjabi-Canadian singer Shubhneet Singh, 26, known as Shubh, has been cancelled due to a significant backlash over his alleged support for Khalistan and separatist movements. Shubh, who had planned to perform in multiple Indian cities, faced controversy after sharing a map of India without Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, accompanied by the caption "Pray for Punjab."

BookMyShow announced the cancellation of Shubhneet Singh's upcoming India tour, responding to social media demands to call off his shows because of his purported support for Khalistani elements. The online ticketing platform also announced a full refund for consumers who had purchased tickets for the show.

“Singer Shubneet Singh's Still Rollin Tour for India stands cancelled. To that end, BookMyShow has initiated a complete refund of the ticket amount for all consumers who had purchased tickets for the show. The refunds will be reflected within 7-10 working days in the customer's source account of the original transaction,” it said in its statement on X (formerly Twitter).

BookMyShow had faced criticism on social media, with #UninstallBookMyShow trending on the platform. Consumer electronics company boAt decided to withdraw sponsorship of the tour over remarks made by Shubh.

Cricketer Virat Kohli unfollowed Shubh on Instagram amid the backlash. The Punjab-born artist had a scheduled three-month-long visit with performances in various cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and more.

These developments occurred during a police crackdown on the arrested Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh and his associates. Furthermore, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of involvement in the June killing of Canadian national Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a known Khalistan supporter, in Surrey. India denied the allegations and expelled a high-ranking Canadian diplomat in response.
