From 12 – 16 February, 2024, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) completed a three-city roadshow in India. 17 Bahraini partners participated in the event, which took place in Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Bangalore.

During the roadshow, the delegation, consisting of prominent Destination Management Companies (DMCs), hoteliers, and airline partners, emphasised their commitment to the Indian market. Engaging in more than 150 one-on-one Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, BTEA presented Bahrain's diverse tourism offerings to the travel trade professionals in the three cities. Additionally, the team delivered concise destination presentations, highlighting Bahrain's cultural, adventure, shopping, sightseeing, and staycation experiences.

Situated as the only island destination in the GCC region, Bahrain, commonly known as the pearl of Arabia, showcases breath-taking beaches, water sports, and distinctive activities such as pearl diving and shucking, appealing to a diverse range of tourist preferences. Recognised for its safety, especially for female travellers, and dynamic nightlife, Bahrain guarantees a fulfilling four-day holiday experience for Indian visitors.

Maryam Toorani, Director of Marketing and Promotions at Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) said, "We are delighted with the overwhelming response received during our India roadshow. It was a testament to the growing interest and demand for Bahrain as a preferred destination among Indian travellers. Through strategic partnerships and collaborative efforts, we aim to significantly increase the number of visitors from various segments such as leisure, MICE, and weddings in the coming years."

Capitalising on the momentum generated from the India roadshow, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) is ready to execute creative marketing approaches, broaden outreach efforts, and craft customized experiences aligned with the evolving preferences of Indian travellers. Through the synergy of collaboration and innovation, BTEA expresses confidence in its capability to establish Bahrain as an exclusive tourism destination that appeals to Indian travellers.
