Corporate Talent Championship, an initiative by engage4more and sponsored by TVS Wego, just completed its sixth edition successfully. A televised performance arts based corporate show for corporates, CTC finds patronage of some high and mighty in the scene. This year hosted by popular TV and radio host Siddharth Kannan, the competition was judged by veteran music icon, Usha Uthup and actor, dancer and entertainer, Jaaved Jaaferi.

This year engage4more opened entries also for individuals to apply for CTC and not just corporations. Anyone working with a registered company in India could participate with a simple online process making the sixth edition even more special and open for more participation.

The format was made more engaging and exciting with the introduction of the Audience Poll. All invitees were handed over a Votometer which rated each performance in the decider round. Which means along with the judges, even the audience had a vote!

Not just this, the event was followed by a stupendous concert by Usha Uthup who had earlier kickstarted the event with singing her famous track “Darling” from 7 Khoon Maaf, where we saw Jaaved dancing as well! In fact Jaaved stepped up the tempo by dancing with some of the contestants on stage!

CTC is based on the theme #WhyStopHere, which encourages corporate employees to live beyond their office cubicles and pursue their passion. #WhyStopHere acknowledges the fact that every individual has a creative side which needs to be explored, and one should never give up on their passion.

A web series #WhyStopHere, was launched, which had 20 unique stories featuring CEOs, CHROs and employees sharing their story of how passion won over life’s many odds. The best part about the web series was, we got to hear unique stories of corporate employees who are also gifted artists, dancers, singers, sand sculptors. One of them is an incredibly graceful belly dancer. All their soul stirring stories have one binding phrase- “Follow your passion, it will lead you to your life’s purpose.”

Palak Shrivastav from Net Magic, Mumbai, is one such. Her story was widely appreciated for how she was undeterred by all the odds faced, in pursuing her passion for art. Her web story got her parents to appreciate her work and support it in future. It also won the #WhyStopHere award, giving her double the reason to celebrate.

The CTC Spirit Award was another unique award category. This was awarded to the company that was most inclusive in its participation. This was across geographies, gender, age groups and the percentage of employee participation to the over employee strength of the company. The clear winner here was Mahindra Rural Housing Finance Ltd for their most inclusive employee engagement.

Among the performances on the eve of finale Capgemini had a sweeping victory by winning across 3 categories of the 6, Solo Singing, Solo Dance and Corporate Band. The other corporates that stood out with their performance were, Sterling & Wilson in the Music category, Future Group winning the title for Group Theatre Act and Cognizant taking the leap in Group Dance Category.

Nishant Parashar, Founder-Director of engage4more and the brain behind CTC says, “CTC is dedicated to the cause of encouraging corporate employees to relentlessly pursue their passion, and never give up on their dreams. CTC’s aim is to motivate employees to live their life to the fullest beyond their office cubicles.”

engage4more has been driving various other initiatives, through the year, around employee engagement with CTC being the leading one. CTC is the only televised corporate contest in Performing Arts space, worldwide. It is all about encouraging corporate world for work-life integration and work life balance by providing them a platform to rediscover and live their passion. Over 450 corporates and over half a lakh employees have participated in CTC so far, making it one of the biggest corporate contests in recent times.

Catch the telecast on NDTV Prime on 4th and 5th November at 2 pm.

engage4more also owns other IPs like Brain Bout, Corporate Super Chef, Money Symphony and is planning to launch more initiatives around Volunteering and Wellness soon. These are aimed at bringing out the lives of the corporate employees beyond their cubicles. All these IPs would soon come under single platform branded as Beyond my Cubicle, more details around this will be out by Mid-November.

Vice President of Marketing at TVS, Aniruddha Haldar says “This journey with engage4more has been quite an engaging experience for TVS WEGO since the first edition as CTC as it has grown to be a truly amazing platform for corporate executives. TVS WEGO is India’s best executive scooter and this association helped us reach and engage with a large pool of India’s Best Executives. TVS WEGO’s brand theme #WhyStopHere fits perfectly with what CTC offers as a platform to executives to pursue their passion and live their dream. On this note, I am happy to announce that TVS WEGO will sponsor a special workshop for CTC contestants with Usha Uthup. I wish the contestants and the engage4more team the best for many more successful editions of CTC”
