engage4more manages the Asian Paints Annual Day ‘Splash 2014’
engage4more managed the Asian Paints Annual Day “Splash ‘14”, with the theme as ‘Colors of India.' The event took place on March 21 at The Plaza of The Lalit Hotel in Mumbai and was attended by more than 700 Asian Paints employees.
engage4more won the event duties after a multi agency pitch process, where its concept and creative rendition of the theme helped the agency clinch it. The event was painted under the Colors of India theme where the entire venue depicted the theme with décor, engagement activities and acts from around the country.
The audiences entered the venue to the thunder of the MaharashtrianDholi Tasha thumps even as Lezim Dancers greeted the attendees. Upon entering the venue, the guests were welcomed in a traditional Indian style where a tilak, reminiscent from ancient indian traditions was applied on their foreheads. While various stalls and activities engaged the crowds, they were treated to kachighodi performances from the streets of Rajasthan.
As a run-up to the main event, engage4moreorganised theme-oriented engagement activities like street food competiton, expressions – hand prints,a mini talent hunt for Splash 2014etc. and engaged Asian Paints employees for the whole week leading to the main event. As a special treat, a bhangra flash mob was also organized at the Asian Paints offices where dancers interacted with the employees and had them rocking to the Punjabi dholis accompanying them.
The main show kicked off with a lamp lighting ceremony which was followed by a bhajanmandli performance by the peons, security and other admin staff of Asian Paints offices. VikramSathaye kept the audience in splits with his routines as he hosted te entire event and introduced all the employee performances which included singing, dancing and a special ode to MirzaGhalib. Over 50 employees were selected via a mini talent hunt by engage4more, which also arranged for the entire grooming and costumes besides choreographing the sequences for Asian Paints Splash.
The event also served as a platform to felicitate employees who have been with Asian Paints for more than 20 years through the Long Service Awards. Mumbai Rockers lead by BittooSIngh of Boogie Woogie fame entertained the audiences with their performances showcasing the shades from traditional as well as modern India. As a closing performance, Jules and Infra Red bandhad the audience dancing to their tunes for over 2 hours where they performed songs fromDhatingNaach& Lungi Dance to Gangnam Style!

Since this was the first time Asian Paints decided to move out their office for annual day celebration,team had to create that warm environment and super engaging experience. Last minute changes in venue added to the overall challenge but the team managed it quite well with a serious upgrade in the value of event form last year and I am glad client liked what we had organized from them.
