After four successful editions of an ‘exhibition and festival’ dedicated to kids, families and fun, the Krackerjack Karnival is back with its 5th edition. With the 4th Krackerjack Karnival 2014 which was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium during 13th-14th December showcasing over 160 exhibitors, 30000 visitors, and over 60 workshops, performances, games, contests, and activities; the expectations from edition five are rather high.



The 5th edition of Krackerjack Karnival Gurgaon 2015 is going to be held at Apparel House, Epicentre during 18th-19th April 2015 and EE caught up with Mrs. Chandrika Behl – Director, Exhibitions India Group, the organizers of the event to talk about its highlights...



Q- How is this edition of the Krackerjack Karnival different from the previous editions? What are the new highlights?



A-This is the 5th edition of the Krackerjack Karnival, and the second time that we are organizing the carnival at the epicenter, Gurgaon.  Our last Gurgaon edition was very well received, giving us the confidence to really grow the show here. Since the weather in April is too hot to do an outdoor event, this is in the comfort of an air-conditioned venue giving it a very different vibe to “The December” event.



Our ideology is to make available this brilliant festival at different places, and each time set a precedent by bringing something novel and extraordinary to the forefront. You can be assured that with our Gurgaon edition yet again we plan to package together two complete days of fun, madness and mayhem for families to enjoy together. We will feature the most Innovative activities, educative yet enjoyable workshops, meet and greet sessions with children’s’ favorite cartoon characters, and much more under a single roof. Of course there will be fantastic shopping with everything a child needs under one roof- whether it is information on school admissions,  insurance, apparel, furniture, toys, books, and so much more.



Q- Engaging kids during an activity is a daunting challenge. How do you plan to do it? Are there any specials activities you have planned or designed for the same?



A- The thought behind the spring edition is to give families an opportunity to get set for summer at this event where they can explore and plan their summer activities, holidays, camps, classes etc. At Krackerjack Karnival we have three main focus areas: main stage arena, workshop zone and exhibition space.



The stage area is the major highlight of the carnival with spectacular performances, games, contests and prizes. Activity zone is comprised of round the clock educational and fun workshops for kids and parents. The exhibits showcase the latest and most exciting products & services available in the Indian market.



Engaging kids at the venue has never been a problem for us, since we have so many entertaining activities going on simultaneously in fact for most of the parents this is a highly anticipated event and we have multiple requests coming in from other cities to organize a similar format.



Q- What is the kind of response you have received so far in terms of registration?



A- The response is tremendous; there is a huge wave of enthusiasm in the market which we are pleased to note. From where we started, the registrations have been on the rise with each passing year and even this year the numbers have exceeded expectations. We are working hard to organize an incredible family experience. Krackerjack Karnival is going to be the perfect weekend escape for parents and kids alike.



Q- What kind of brands are coming to exhibit themselves and how are they using this exhibition as a platform for their benefit?



A-  At Krackerjack Karnival we provide a unique platform to brands, wherein we give them direct access to the entire family. The carnival is in its 5th edition and over this time we have built a very strong brand recall and share a comfort factor with our existing exhibitors, most of them are repeat participants for each year. With our April edition, we continue to promote new and upcoming brands at our forum.



It’s a win-win situation for both visitors and exhibitors- parents get a great opportunity to discover new and interesting products in a pleasant environment, while brands get access to thousands of parents at a  single platform to promote their products and services and build a  connect with their potential clients. The event will showcase the entire spectrum of products, ranging from baby care, apparel, furniture, educational products, toy’s & games, organic products, party supplies, photography, stationary, sporting goods, maternity, and much more.



Since it is one of the biggest events focused solely on kids and family in India, we are offering exhibitors a tremendous opportunity to not only sell their products and services, but to boost their brand awareness and personal equation with their consumer base. In addition, most of the exhibitors use our event to build on their existing database which is an integral part of any company. The previous edition of Krackerjack Karnival at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium attracted more than 30,000 quality visitors.



Q-How do you plan to invite more and more kids and families to attend the exhibition?



A-The Krackerjack Karnival has devised an aggressive 360-degree marketing and promotional plan targeted to a wide spectrum of families, comprising of children of all ages, parents, parents-to-be, and grandparents.



With the right mix of media tools, the plan incorporates a wide range of promotional opportunities planned across the NCR guaranteed to attract a large visitor base.  The brand reach of KrackerJack Karnival across media mix includes tools like, public relations, social marketing, online, digital and print advertising, radio campaign, word-of-mouth, and relevant above and below-the- line activities. We’ve also been very fortunate that our huge following of kids, parents, and exhibitors track our show, wait for it with great excitement and help us in spreading the word.
