WTM London to go virtual from November 9 to 11
The main aim of the virtual event is to help recover and rebuild and shape the travel industry at a time when it needs it the most.
For the first time since its launch in 1980, WTM London will not be hosting a live event. The travel event that brings together stakeholders from all over the world, will now be a virtual one, scheduled to take place from November 9-11.
The main aim is to help recover and rebuild and shape the travel industry at a time when it needs it the most. The virtual event will focus on restoring and developing business connections, growing one's brand network and learning how to make comeback.
The virtual event will take place across three days, from 7am-10pm, to allow access from the different zones across the globe. The live conference sessions and forums will be tackling some of the issues the industry is facing today, as well as speed networking sessions, one-to-one meetings, and virtual networking opportunities. We want to keep the global travel conversation alive and help deliver new connections as well as offering a wide range of online business opportunities.
WTM London’s Senior Director, Simon Press, had said in a statement that the live show was set to take place this year at ExCeL London from November 2-4. Press had also talked about WTM Virtual, a two-day event, that was to take place from November 10-11, 2020, which would be an extension of WTM London and Travel Forward live shows.
The virtual show will also see an investment summit in partnership with ITIC – International Tourism & Investment Conference – and a new Marketing Forum and masterclass workshop in partnership with The Five Percent.
Richard Gayle, Event Manager for Travel Forward said, “Travel Forward is the event that embraces fresh concepts and innovative projects to inspire delegates.
