It is essential to teach children to take care of animals so that they can develop empathy, kindness, gratitude and the importance of co-existing with four-legged friends. Dogs not only make our world happier but also teach us the value of unconditional love. Spreading joy this International Children’s Day, Growel’s 101 Mall, Suburban Mumbai’s favourite Family destination, in association with The Welfare of Stray Dogs (WSD), organised engaging workshops to sensitise children and make them compassionate towards stray dogs.

The workshop began with a session on ‘How to care for stray dogs’ which covered do’s and don’ts to handle stray dogs followed a Q&A session. Children also actively participated and learnt how to make Origami dogs. This was followed by an hourly Quiz for children, youngsters and adults.

Speaking for the cause of Stray Dogs, Abodh Aras, CEO, The Welfare of Stray Dogs (WSD) said, “The world belongs to these animals just as much as it belongs to us. A compassionate world for street dogs begins with us.”
