Taalbelia enters into its 4th Weekend with the Folk Alive initiative
The initiative aims to extend help to as many artists as it can and to reignite their hope while connecting with them through music.
An initiative started with a simple and humble intention to support the Folk artists struggling to get their livelihood back, Taalbelia Folk Alive with its 3 Weekend jams has already raised a donation of more than 2 lakhs for its artist and is still counting.
This platform for the first time enables these artists to voice out their pain and struggle. It has been able to make a unique setting of its own right with the spirit and vibe it encompasses in all its curation.
Helped by artists like Namit Das + Anurag Shanker, Maat Baani, Mame Khan complementing the various styles of folk talents by collaborating with them, this journey will take a lot of new turns on its way forward with all that it has stored for its future collaborations.
Coming your way this weekend is a very special collaboration with musicals inspired by the poetry of Sant Kabir Das. You will hear beautiful rendition of Sant Kabir’s Dohas by our much talented artists Dada Khan ji supported by Harpreet Singh this Saturday.

A Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist and a performer by heart, Harpreet sets the work of poets to song, effortlessly melding the rhythm of words with the cadence of his music.
His music is an act of poetic subversion and he has earned a distinct identity by becoming a voice of poets across languages and time.
Words from Siddhartha Chaturvedi - Founder and Director of Taalbelia:
We look forward to getting new talent every time with a different genre or style of music on our platform. Also, the aim has always been to get these artists from across the geographical boundaries of our nation
Seeing the support and love from our audiences in these 3 weeks has really motivated me to keep moving forward in this direction. I am really very grateful to have been able to bring this help out for the folks.
This transparent approach towards raising funds for the folks has got many people to support our cause and contribute to their monetary capacities. We have seen fans from overseas also come forward and support the cause.
Music heals, music is the best escape and it will be so, digitally as well.
