Shilpa and Sonika execute wedding at Park Hyatt Goa
Amit and Neha decided to tie the knot on 8th March 2014, at the Park Hyatt Resort and Spa in Goa. Shilpa and Sonika had planned and executed the wedding.
This was a three night four day wedding from the 6th of March till the 9th of March.
Team Shilpa and Sonika reached on the 4th afternoon to commence the final preperation for the wedding. Guests began coming in from the 6th Noon.
The check-ins took place at the Boat House which is a secluded part attached to the lobby of the property. Serenadorswere organized to give it a Goanfeel and a Dhol that symbolized that it was a Punjabi Wedding. Lunch was followed there after. The guests were given time to rest till 5:30pm after whichthe first function was organized at the Dunes which was a Sundown party. The entire theme was LEDs and only lights and tall centerpieces. LED balls lit the pathway along with an LED dancefloor while Flaming Trio started chugging shots down the guest’s throat and DJ Tahir was playing Bollywood music to get the crowd grooving. After the sundown party there was an after party in the banquet which was a black and gold theme with lounge seating on the side and a big bar in place of a stage.
After a heavy first night the mehendi function took place at 1pm at the Magical Forest. The theme of this was purple and lime green. Again a dhol was organized, along with some fun elements such as Foot Massagers, Nail Art and an Illusionist. While the woman put mehendi the men were amused with the amazing tricks being performed by Edmundo. A truck bar was created and two thelas, one thelawhich was known as the beer thela which has a drum filled with chilled beer and another thela near the entrance of the function for gifts and giveaways. DjTahirwas the DJ for this function. Followed by the mehendi function there was a Sangeetat 8pm in the evening in the Ballroom and the entertainment for this night was family performances and again the Dhol who played along the beats of DJ Tahir, post the sangeetthere was an after party. The theme of the Sangeet was crystals. The backdrop of the stage had crystal ladis and lit candles.
The wedding of Amit and Neha started from 4pm in the afternoon with the Sehrabandi in the Verandah, followed by the baraat where a Vintage car and alcohol on the move was organized. The wedding ceremony had been organized at the dunes. The mandap was plain and simple white colourrajnigandha flowers and tall center pieces which chic linen. A flutist from Jaipur was organized who played soft melodious music while the wedding ceremony was going on. The firework display began once the pheras were over and the bride and groom left in the vintage car. Once the wedding ceremony was over there was an after party organized in the banquet hall instead of a reception which was a light night as guests were leaving the next day.
