Pepe Jeans Music Stage at Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2015

Pepe Jeans Music Stage was set-up at HT Kala Ghoda Festival 2015 which began on 8th February 2015 and ended yesterday, 15 February 2015.



The Pepe Jeans Music Stage hosted a wide mix of performances – from age-old Rajasthani story-telling folkmusic to a unique dialogue between guitar and percussion. After a stellar performance last year, Rajasthani folkmusicians, the Merasi were back at Kala Ghoda again this year. Their songs once again weaved the magic of Rajasthani traditions and culture that enthralled the audience.



Telling vivid and evocative stories through her songs, Mumbai based Singer-Songwriter, Geetu Hinduja, surely managed to transport listeners to the landscape of her mind. She dominated the stage with her powerful voice, commanding presence and an energy that just wowed the audience.



Inspired by Middle Eastern, Jazz, Brazilian and Flamenco traditions, Yshai and Itmar took centre stage to put up a powerful performance which was a unique dialogue between guitar and percussion inspired by middle-eastern, Jazz, Brazillian and Flamenco traditions.



Electric duo Sidhartha & Suhas known for their music in films like Dil, Dosti etc. and Jawani Diwani entertained the crowd with their popular/ upbeat tracks like Badtameez Dil and Dum Laga.



Pepe Jeans keeping in line with its love for music and music-lovers had organized a social media hunt for the best upcoming band, who would get an opportunity to perform at the Kala Ghoda Music Festival 2015. Laxmi Bomb the winners of this contest, enthralled the audience with an electrifying performance which was highlighted by tracks such as Reggae Rasiya.



Shibani Kashyap, who rose to fame singing the signature tune of the Air fm channel of All India Radio, Amul India and a renowned Bollywood voice, performed on Day 4 of the fest. She along with her band regaled the audience with her mixed repertoire. The star-studded evening also witnessed Neha Bhasin, Bollywood playback singer-songwriter took the audience on a musical high with her powerful voice.



Ankur & The Ghalat Family is the Hindi rock project of singer-songwriter Ankur Tewari. The band performed on day 4.



The stage also hosted performances by The Lonely Gerbils, Shanay, Stella by Starlight, Voctronica, Tejas Menon, Cut Out Club, Maria Pomianowska, Blackstratblues and Amit Trivedi.
