International Women’s Day, traditionally celebrated on March 8, is a day that felicitates and shines light on women of substance - those that chose to pave their own path, while looking adversities in the face. This year, paying heed to the theme chosen by the International Women’s Day committee #ChooseToChallenge, most organisations have recognised and awarded women who have challenged the norms by excelling in their respective fields.

One such organisation is the Women’s Council of the Chamber of Trade and Industry that holds a ‘Women Achiever’s Awards’ every year on the occasion of its Founder’s Day. Nanni Singh, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ShowCase Events was a well-deserving recipient of the prize this year.

Nanni Singh has been part of the events industry for over 12 years. The company she so lovingly spearheads, specialises in curating and executing events of all kinds, with emphasis on sprucing up traditional corporate events with cultural offerings. Her unique music programs are known in the industry for their grandeur and creativity, always executed with her signature personal touch and oodles of passion. She is also a Guest Columnist at Businessworld Everything Experiential, is highly passionate about music and continues her music practice regularly.

According to the panel that selected her as a recipient of the ‘Women Achiever’s Award 2021’, “Nanni Singh is creative, innovative, and believes in the best.” Having been mentored by her, the team at ShowCase events, wholeheartedly agrees with this assessment.

Founded in September 2016, the Chamber of Trade and Industry is an organisation with trade industries, transportation, services, associations and individuals as its members. They aim to work towards holistic development with true economic growth by integrating all businesses and services together. Their endeavour is to bring qualitative change in the environment and mind-set of the business community and the government, by continually developing a dialogue for mutual benefit.

The Women Council of CTI, as the organisation prefers to be called, organised its 6th Founder’s Day on Wednesday, March 10 at the Lajpat Bhavan Auditorium near Moolchand Hospital in Lajpat Nagar. The event felicitated women across categories and was well-attended and appreciated by everyone present.

ShowCase Events is proud of their leader Nanni Singh, and look forward to moving onwards and upwards under her guidance!
