Talking about the festival Vaibhav Arekar/ Sushant Jadhav- Directors said, “Since past six years this festival has attracted many professional dancers, dance students and dance lovers due to its exclusive yet spectacular performances. In this 7th edition, we bring together traditional performances of classical dance styles from all corners of India. This year we have moved across cities and planned to host this festival in Thane as well as we hosted it in Pune in March. Our motive is to move around to as many places as possible and reach out to maximum rasikas. Sindhu has not only been mesmerizing rasikas but has also kept them waiting for the next season. It has been a direct hotspot for conducting workshops, lecture-demonstrations along with dance talks with eminent artists.”
Founded by Vaibhav Arekar in 2009 ‘Sankhya’ came as a natural extension of his artistic vision to have a company of dancers who engage and invest purely in dance performance. Today Sankhya is recognized as a premier Dance Company based in Mumbai. Needless to say, Sankhya’s artists practice dance as a way of life.
