Ministry of Tourism to issue new guidelines for Wedding Tourism Industry

The Ministry of Tourism is set to issue new guidelines to promote wedding tourism internationally. Experts believe this move will be a game changer for the industry that has been reeling under severe crisis.
The ministry is expected to issue the new guidelines soon. These guidelines were proposed by Rashi Entertainment recently and covers areas like Wedding, Marriage Tourism and Destination Weddings.
Some of the highlights of these draft guidelines include:
Five point agenda to promote wedding tourism internationally
Incentive plans with claim forms for international weddings
Incentive plans with claim forms for inter-state weddings
Proposed survey about Indian Wedding Tourism Market
Coming up with a new list of heritage properties in India which could be used as wedding venues.
Speaking about the draft guidelines, Rajeev Jain, Director, Rashi Entertainment said, “Finally a strategic effort on WEDDING TOURISM will see the light of the day. The Ministry Of Tourism , Govt Of India has accepted our efforts. The letter issued by the Tourism Ministry is self explanatory and I am confident that this move will help the entire wedding industry to generate more profit in 2021.”
“We have submitted all recommendations for Empanelment Formats, Incentives for Inter state and International weddings, Exhibition Participation and all other points as specified by the ministry. I dedicate this to our events and wedding industry and all platforms that have promoted wedding business vigorously”, added Jain.
The Ministry will now take its own course and share it as a document for the benefit of the entire Wedding Industry.
