Mauritius Tourism partners with Designer Charu Parasher for Om Luxe

An Indian wedding is no longer just about the rituals, the food, ensembles and the festivities. It’s also about having it at an exotic destination. Destination weddings have become very popular amongst Indians. In an initiative to promote Mauritius as a preferred luxury wedding destination, Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), has associated with wedding couturier, Charu Parashar to host ‘OM Luxe’ - a luxury fashion event that is to take place in New Delhi on 18th October 2014. The event aims to present the best of trends and designs in bridal couture by Charu Parashar and enhance the visibility of Mauritius as a Wedding Destination. Mauritius, with its spectacular white-sand beaches, turquoise sea, beautiful mountains that seemingly rise up from the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean, serves as an ideal place to say “I do” in style, in an exclusive way, while surrounded by friends and family.

Talking about the event, Managing Partner of OM Luxe, Vasudha Sondhi, says, “OM Luxe aims to bring specialised travel experiences to a larger audience in India through association with lifestyle events and therefore we are delighted with our partnership with Charu Parashar who has been at the forefront of making her label appeal to a larger audience with her fabulous designs.”

“The incredible natural beauty of Mauritius is complemented by some of the best and most luxurious seaside hotels and resorts which offer excellent service and facilities, in stunningly picturesque surroundings. The island is the right place to exchange vows; a dazzling experience that one always dreams of and which can be brought to reality with perfection” said Mr Vivek Anand Country Manager, MTPA. He also added that MTPA gives incentives to groups of over 100 people travelling to Mauritius for events and staying for a minimum of two nights. These are in the form of cash-back and various other facilities including free excess baggage, special immigration counters at the airport, security for VIPs etc., etc. The event will kick-off with a Mauritius food festival, that will highlight Mauritian Cuisine which is a blend of Creole, Chinese, European and Indian influences.

Travel is an integral part of changing lifestyles. And it can’t get better if the offering revolves around fashion, luxury & destination weddings. On OM Luxe’s initiative in bringing Charu and MTPA together to host this bespoke evening, Charu Parashar  says, “I strongly feel Mauritius is the  most exotic wedding and honeymoon  destination for any  high profile Indian wedding. By showcasing “Charu Parashar Bridal Couture” I desire to highlight the cultural similarities and take 'exotic and stylized' weddings to a higher level.
