London based event agency 'Goat' launches Goat Festival at Marbela Goa

It will be a silver sand getaway for guests at boutique music and arts event GOAT Festival 2017 as it moves to Marbela Beach Resort in Morjim. The festival, to be held from January 27 to 29, is being tweaked to accommodate current government regulations, but promises a unique experience.

The format has changed to exclude live music but the host of other artists along with visual arts and wellness workshops are still on the cards. The three-day festival will see a slew of artists including internationally renowned names like Gilles Peterson, Kiasmos, Sarathy Korwar, Henry Wu, James Priestley of secretsundaze, BLOT! (live), Delhi Sultanate, Aqua Dominatrix, Sandunes, The Turbans, Afriquoi (DJ set) and Medlar. There will also be Kumail, MMAT, Moniker, Eng, Shyo, Iggy, Ez Riser, The Fish, DJ Lion, Boom Baba, Calm Chor and others.

And that’s not all! The festival has organised a medley of wellness workshops including sound bathing with Yin and Yang yoga by Ali Gunning, alternative music therapy through sound and sound waves, storytelling and movement workshops with experience specialists Marbles and Ware Collective, dance and art workshops, live painting and a ritualistic burn on the beach.

There’ll be haute couture costume creation and paddle boarding, as well as a spread of Goan gastronomic delights, and a highlight- sunset gazing with goats.

“It has been a massive labour of love to put this event together and we are determined to make something magical and unforgettable happen. The Goat Festival 2017 will run at the beautiful Marbela Beach Resort from 2pm till 10pm” said Dave Gaydon, founder of London-based music and events agency Goat and CEO of the Goat Festival.

He added, “There will be lots of fun festival frolics, food, theatre and art, right on the beach. We are working very hard to make this a brilliant event for our attendees.”
