Kalinga Literary Festival: KLF Bhava Samvad to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti
Renowned mythologist Devdutt Pattnaik to discuss Odia Ramayans and connect them to the national and international trends in Ramayan studies.
On 2nd October when India will celebrate the birthday of the Mahatma Gandhi and the world will observe the International Day of Non-Violence, Kalinga Literary Festival's popular digital dialogue platform will host several interactive sessions on Gandhiji and on his life and message.
A session on Gandhiji aur Swachhata: Ek Vimarsh will have public policy expert and author Shri Atul K Thakur in conversation with Shri Yugal Joshi, author and the Director of Ministry of Jal Shakti Government of India.
The second session will have author Vandana Rag with author Shri Ashok Pandey discussing the book on Gandhiji by Shri Pandey. The third session will have renowned journalist and author Shri Prabhat Ranjan in conversation with author and civil servant Shri Nishant Jain on 'Ruk Jaana Nahi' & Non-Fiction Writings in Hindi'.
The fourth session will be the rendering of Shri Jayadeva Goswami Ji's Gita Govinda and Gandhi Bhajans by renowned vocalist Pdt. Kunj Bihari Mishra along with author Dr. Kamal Mohan Chunnu.
KLF Bhava Samvad launched during the lockdowns to promote dialogue among creative minds has reached more than one million viewers in four months' time. More details on each session and links are available on the social media handles of KLF.
The KLF has launched 'KLF Bhava Sambad' to bring poets, writers, thinkers, philosophers, public intellectuals, spiritual masters, researchers, performers, and common citizens to reflect upon the lives and emotions around us during this lockdown and beyond.

KLF welcomes acclaimed author Tuhin Sinha and journalist Rakshee Bakshee on 4th October at Bhava Samvad. The theme of the session will be 'Nayee Soch Naya Bharat'.
The platform has successfully conducted 52 sessions so far, reaching over 10 lakh views. Sessions at KLF Bhava Samvad have covered subjects as diverse as the creative process of writing, literature, climate change, psychological wellbeing and compassion in these challenging times, the art of poetry, technology, music, mythology, mysticism and technology etc . Speaking about the initiative, Rashmi Ranjan Parida, founder of the KLF said, “COVID-19 has affected everyone everywhere. When people have been homebound, quarantined, nature seems to have regenerated. KLF Bhava Sambad is a small step to rekindle the literary spirit at the time of disillusionment.” Going forward, Bhava Samvad, the digital discourse platform of KLF will be held every weekend, added Parida.
