JURY MEMBERS IMPRESSED WITH ACE 2014 ENTRIES

?

The Jury meet for ACE 2014 began with much pomp and fair on the 9th of September, at Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur. As the guests started arriving, they were greeted with exceptional hospitality of palace staff. Following the arrival and some rest, a short walk around the palace and a buggy ride to Shiv Niwas Palace, the guests were served a sumptuous lunch.

Soon after, the intensive process judging the work of award nominations began. The Jury, chaired by Raj Nayak of Colors - Viacom 18, began to award points to entries based on three factors - concept, creativity and execution. They got intensively absorbed in the process as they were required to view and vote across 11 categories.

The members of the Jury were quite surprised by the creativity and execution of many award entries for ACE 2014, which all in all became even more difficult to rate the best of them out. However, adhering to the required stringent parameter of judging only the best work purely based on merits, the entries were strictly scrutinized in the presence of moderators from EE and supporting staff from the palace.

Speaking on the Jury meet, Event Management Federation’s President, Dr Jaydeep Mehta said:

“I am truly humbled by the hospitality of the people of Udaipur and Fateh Prakash Palace staff, it is really exceptional. There couldn’t have been a better place than the HRH Group of Hotels property to have the Jury meet. Not to forget, I am really grateful to the Maharaj Kumar, the Prince of Mewar and my friend, Lakshyaraj Singh to invite EMF to host its maiden ACE 2014’s jury meet in Udaipur.”

“As for the esteemed guests who took all the pain to come and spend their time at Udaipur, for the jury meet, I extend my heartiest gratitude to all of them for taking the time out from their busy schedule, given the prominence they hold in their respective field and their time commitments.”

“Although the jury process took longer than it should have, it was really satisfactory seeing so many amazing work by event companies in Gujarat, which wouldn’t have been possible earlier without a platform like EMF. Now, I am really convinced that EMF is the right platform for our event partners in Gujarat, who display outstanding work and I would just like to say that, may the best of best from the lot gets recognized and is awarded.”

The Maharaj Kumar, Prince of Mewar - Lakshyaraj Singh said:

“I am happy to host ACE 2014’s Jury in Udaipur, it reflects the bonding that Mewar shares with Gujarat, which is why EMF chose HRH Group of Hotel property. I thank all the jury members who traveled all the way to come here. Going forward, I would be more than happy to extend any kind of support to EMF.”

Being the Jury chair, Raj Nayak did a splendid job in leading the jury process. Having been part of countless jury panels in his career, and with his experience and expertise, he ensured that the jury is directed towards identifying the right parameters to judge award entries.

Speaking on his experience, Mr Nayak said:

“It was interesting to see jury members from such diverse backgrounds who took the effort to come down to Udaipur, to honour EMF’s maiden event ACE 2014’s jury meet.”

“It was a compact jury consisting of experts in their respective areas of focus. I am happy to be here since this (meet) made it all the more easier as there were great exchange of thoughts and mutually conclusive decisions. In my thought, all entries were great. There are never winners and losers, it’s just that some are motivated to go beyond good and do exceptional work.”

Now that the Jury meet is over, everybody is looking forward to the main ACE 2014 event, which will begin on 12th September with star-studded personalities like Subhash Ghai inaugurating the event, Dia Mirza bringing grace and beauty, and Padma Shri award winner ‘Hariharan’ enthralling the crowd with his soulful voice.
