In Goa this week? Hit these parties for an epic run-up to 2017

What’s better than a place to party? The option to party at several places! And Goa is just that kind of a city. Thousands of people throng north Goa’s stunning beaches each December to party their way into New Year. With music festivals Sunburn and Supersonic moving to Pune this year, a string of places have risen to the occasion to offer the party experience synonymous with Goa. Here’s a handy list of parties to hit if you’re in the city this week.

Heineken Krank Festival 2016
27 December - 30 December at Chronicle, Vagator

Ocean views, intimate underground music vibe and a unique boutique party experience, with a beautiful decor, dancers, performers and much more is on offer at the 6th edition of Heineken Krank featuring Arjun Vagale, Betoko, Christian Smith, Martin Roth, Nils Hoffmann, Robert Babicz, RITMO, Stelios Vassiloudis, Audio Units, Baba Robijn, BLOT, Boombaba, Bullzeye, Calm Chor, Designer Hippies, Hoax, Jitter, Kohra, Milano, Shaun Moses, WA TEC and more. Couple day pass is Rs 2000 and couple single pass is Rs 6600.

Satellite Festival
27th – 31st December 2016 at Waters, Vagator

India is going to host its first ever full-scale Anjunadeep event at Satellite Beachside. Where better for Anjunadeep to find a home in India than Goa, by the water, on a cliff-side overlooking the beach. Some other artists playing exclusive sets are Ash Roy, Nikhil Chinapa, Arjun Vagale, Pearl, Browncoat, Praveen Achary, Tuhin Mehta and Murthovic. Festival pass is for Rs 4000 while single day access is Rs 1300.

Beats Festival
28th – 29th December 2016 at Marbela Beach, Morjim

Marbela Beach presents an explosion of music with the Beats Festival! A day and night project with the best International Dj's, artists and performers at perhaps the most pristine beach of north Goa.

Grid Festival
28th - 29th December2016 at Antares, Vagator

A deep House festival, Grid presents a great line-up of artists with the best of deep house, deep tech and progressive with complimenting surroundings, an illuminating trip to your imagination and food crafted by masterchef Sarah Todd. Grid festival will be featuring D Nox and Beckers, Cid Inc, Darin Epsilon, DJ Zombi, Kohra, Circle of Life and more. Single day access Rs 2000.

Wonderwall
28th – 30th December at Sunset Ashram, Ashwem Beach

To be held at the Sunset Ashram that overlooks the Arabian Sea on Ashwem Beach, Wonderwall has been conceptualised by friends – music entrepreneur and DJ Nikhil Chinapa, Goa-based entrepreneur Shailesh Shetty and Oum Pradutt, founder of Phase 1 Experiences, and offers an intimate gathering of not more than 1200 amidst swaying coconut trees and in the company of friends, free from the trappings of mass festivals. To feature Anjunadeep, Yotto, Jody Wisternoff. Cubicolor, Roger Sanchez, Kid Crème, Funkagenda, Aneesh Gera and Nawed Khan. NYE at Marbela Beach
31st December at Marbela Beach, Morjim

Like every year Marbela’s New Year Eve prepares to krank it up with some class- apart entertainment and vibes. Nestled bang on the spectacular Morjim beach, Marbela is amongst the more swanky places on that stretch, raising the bar each year for ringing in the New Year in style.

NYE at Antares
31st December at Antares, Vagator

Situated in the heart of Vagator, Antares oceanfront restaurant and beach club offers the perfect open-air setting and premium viewing of NYE fireworks, dancers, fire twirlers and international Dj’s. Passes at Rs 15000 for a couple, Rs 9000 for a single male and Rs 7000 for a single female.

Beach Please
28th – 30th December at La Cabana, Morjim

La Cabana, an exotic beach facing venue on the beautiful coast of Morjim/Ashwem offers full-on sessions of beachside carnage with a heavy load of dance music, ending 2016 with not just one, but three days of bliss, starting 4pm everyday. Single day access per person is Rs 700.

NYE at Shaktipat
31st December at Big Banyan Tree, Small Vagator

Shaktipat refers in Hinduism to the conferring of spiritual 'energy' upon one person by another. At 65 years of age the legendary Goa Gil will be playing with Ariane MacAvoy of Nimba at at 3rd edition of Shaktipat at Sri next to the iconic Banyan tree in Small Vagator. Single access at Rs 2500.

Vortex
1st January at Rockwater, Morjim

For those looking for a non-commercial intimate party scene head over to Rockwater, bang in the middle of Morjim and right on the beach, for some chill vibes featuring some experimental tunes by a selection of international artists. And don't be surprised to bump into a few celebs from B-town! Famed for its sunday parties, this place has been a favorite with the likes of Aditya Roy Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and others wanting to chill whilst remaining low-key.
