IDFC brings out the socially responsible side of students
Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC), one of the players in the financial services sector in India, launched the IDFC ‘In Our Hands’ initiative in July 2013. This engagement initiative panned across 15 cities in India, covering 260 colleges and close to 2000 students.
The main objective of this experiential activity revolved around social responsibility of the youth. It aimed to contribute towards encouraging the youth to build an opinion around key issues confronting infrastructure development. The campaign also garnered digital support by way of 1,73,000 likes on IDFC’s official Facebook page.
Various activities, both online and offline, in the form of inter-collegiate competitions were organised. The on-ground activations involved city level quizzes, debates and art competitions along with various engagement activities like street plays, PUC check camps, and the likes. The activities revolved around an environmental subject which encouraged youth to take greater ownership for their actions and help them become influencers of socially responsible behaviour in their immediate circle.
engage4more won the mandate to handle the on-ground activations all over India in addition to the digital activities. A spokesperson from IDFC said, “Team engage4more worked very closely with us and managed achieve core objective of the initiative. Last year we had five cities for this initiative, so this year it was a challenge to cover 15 cities right from identifying a suitable venue, venue booking, approaching colleges for participation, to venue branding and finally the main event.”
Nishant Parashar, Director, engage4more added, " Since we had to conclude the event in set timeline for different cities we had to ensure that the delivery of the event should be with maximum youth engagement and also set a great overall experience for all students."
