The likes of Sushma Gaikwad, Founder, Ice Global, Niyati Vora, VP, Wizcraft, Tabassum Modi, Director, Victor Tango, Aarti Mattoo, Chairperson, Momentum Group and Poonam Lal Founder, Innobuzz Marketing Solutions came together to discuss this undeniably imperative topic.

Niyati Vora, VP, Wizcraft who’s own boss made sure she was all eased down and felt and peace once she was back post her pregnancy spoke about how the experience helped her grow and put a system together that could help women. “Post my pregnancy, I put an entire system together that ensured flexibility, cooperation and counselling before the women resume with work post their pregnancy,” she opened up.

Poonam Lal, Founder, Innobuzz Marketing Solutions also voiced the opinion that once the women resume to work, they go on a guilt trip and start believing like they haven’t been able to perform. “We explain their colleagues to be sensitive to their deliverance and we also counsel them not to be too hard on themselves,” shared Lal.

She explained that allowing them to work from home offers them more flexibility and a happy space. “The work team plays an important role and the phase becomes easy when they lend their support,” said Aarti Mattoo, Chairperson, Momentum Group. ”Working while pregnancy can offer women sanity and keep their immersed in such a productive way,” she added. Mattoo also spoke about how an extra pair of hands is always a good option and can help delegate your work.

The discussion also emphasized the importance of robust leadership coaching, flexibility and compassion and how they help optimise productivity. “Allowing kids in office during their holidays and changing work roles from a flexi-hour point of view could be a good way of easing off the stress,” suggested Tabassum Modi, Director, Victor Tango.
