In the ordinary course of the day, sometimes it seems as if there is not enough time. So we wait for right time to do things, but that’s what you have to learn, stop waiting for time because time does not wait for you. If you want something, you have to make time for it. How? The answer lies in good time management.
The highest achievers manage their time exceptionally well. By using the time-management techniques, you can improve your ability to function more effectively – even when time is tight and pressures are high.
We often use the excuse of being busy to put work off, but being busy is not the same as being effective. Spending your day performing successive activities, you may often achieve less because you are dividing your attention between so many different tasks. Good time management lets you work smarter – not harder – so you get more done in less time.
Start by differentiating between URGENT and IMPORTANT. We should always priories our work for the day, on the level of urgency. ’Urgent’ tasks demand your immediate attention and 'Important' tasks matter in the longer run and not doing important task may have serious consequences.
To improve efficiency, keep your desk tidy. It helps avoiding distractions and saves valuable time and helps you stay top of things. Use either stick notes in your note books or on the notice board / Fridge. In this way you will be able to prioritize on the basis of what needs to be done.
All of us have particular time of day when we work more effectively. It’s vital to jot down all of our testing tasks for that time. Another schedule should be prepared for all the things for all the things that have to be done at a specific time of the day.
This will help you to not put off work or make excuses about it. Don’t Procrastinate.
All said and done, the most important thing to remember is remaining calm and cool. Feeling over burdened can be very stressful. Remember it is important to delegate your work among you team or take help from your peers to work induce the ability of working productively and proficiently. Empowerment is the key here. Always take a moment to pause and refresh your mind to get your priorities straight. Even if you don’t meet certain deadlines, always try to stay stress free and move ahead.
