Grammy winning producer Jeff Bhasker to host master class in Delhi, presented by

The music community, launched under exchange4media, is here with their first exclusive community event, “Loudest MasterClass With Jeff Bhasker”. This Master Class happens to be the biggest event of its kind with over 100+ artists, producers sending their entries, and the grammy winning producer handpicking only 15 artists, to exclusively mentor as a part of this Master Class. Jeff Bhasker is a globally celebrated producer. He has collaborated with multiple artists including, rapper and producer Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Beyonce, JayZ, Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars and many more.

The Loudest Master Class with Jeff Bhasker is scheduled on November 6 2017; the 5-time Grammy Winning Producer (also known as Billy Kraven and U.G.L.Y.) hosted and supported by the extremely talented, widely celebrated singer, lyricist and performer Jasbir Singh Bains (Jasbir Jassi).

Jeff Bhasker came to India last week of October. MTV India Music Summit held in Jaipur invited him as the keynote speaker. The event, as Bhasker said, brought a variety of perspectives on Indian Music Industry to him and he was left amazed by the incredible talent in the country. During his keynote at the summit, we realised he had so much knowledge to impart, understood the need for an extension to his plans in India to ensure the independent artist community gets benefitted by him as much as the Hindustani Classical Community. This brewed the idea of hosting an impromptu workshop in Delhi by Loudest.

"So far my experience in India has really sparked growth as a musician, businessman and a human being. It also feels like visiting a long lost family because everyone has welcomed me so warmly", said Jeff Bhasker in an exclusive interview with Loudest

Jeff has won Grammy Awards for the songs "Run This Town" by JAY-Z, "All Of The Lights" by Kanye West, "We Are Young" by Fun, and "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson. Bhasker received the 2016 Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical for co-producing Mark Ronson’s album Uptown Special and producing Nate Reuss’s album Grand Romantic among other records.

The Loudest workshop initially started with the thought of it being a big affair, open for all and a ticketed event.  The Idea caught a lot of attention, multiple sponsors wanting to associate with the incredible forum. While over a cup of coffee, this idea moulded into something more intimate, exclusive and personal. A Master Class, open to only 15 handpicked musicians who the Grammy Winning Producer would personally mentor. With the sole objective of it having a larger, long-term impact!

We asked Aparajita Misra, Editorial Lead & Founding Member of Loudest how she managed to pull this off in less than a week, “Jassi Ji connected me to Jeff at the summit and we were talking about the gaps and needs in the Indian Music industry. Post that we had a detailed conversation for hours discussing the scene and I posted an update asking people if they’d be interested in the workshop and due to the overwhelming response, I requested Jeff if he’d be interested in this and he was so excited about it! We discussed the format and honestly, I was amazed and happy when he said no to big sponsors and wanted to interact and meet these musicians more personally. This is his way of contributing to the Indian Music Industry”

Jeff Bhasker added in a statement given to Loudest, "It always comes down to storytelling. Production at its highest level isn't a technical process, but a language that can tell a story like a painting. The first step in production is having an interesting story. The rest is like dressing the song, and singer is an outfit which will show them in their best light and make them stand out in the crowd. Jeff Added, I am very impressed with the talent over here. In the last few years, I've moved further into mentorship. I really get a lot out of teaching. It's also just a part of my nature. Hopefully I can be a positive influence in giving independent artists a platform that promotes creativity, and moves music forward which is my guiding directive."

The class was announced on November 1, 2017, and the entries came pouring in! Thanks to KRUNK & RollingStones, came on board to support the initiative and give it a push. Jeff and Loudest, hand-picked only 15 musicians out of 100+ entries received. This includes songwriters, producers, and rappers like Komorebi, Prateek Kuhad, Prabh Deep, SEZ, Kamakshi Khanna, Diggy Dang, Dhruv Visvanath, Ritwik De and Aditya Balani to name a few and many fresh names. The workshop curated by Jeff Bhasker covers one-on-one mentoring of 15 songwriters and music producers from India, meet & greet, production workshop, supported by Jasbir Jassi at his residence.

"The Musical Talent in India is off the charts! I see younger generation incorporating western influences on a surface level but the real shift is when they write their own music and control their own narrative. In the West we refer to musicians as "Artists", Here they are, singers, or music directors because Bollywood controls the narratives. That is going to change. " said Jeff Bhasker.

The thing that strikes us the most is it’s rare to come across such big producers and musician, like Jeff Bhasker & Jasbir Jassi Ji who open their homes and hearts to keep the baton of good music flowing, giving fresh talent a brilliant scope of growth, networking and understanding the global perspective. It’s exciting to see the shift in the Independent Music Industry and the attitude of learning and growing through interacting and collaborating with top music industry professionals and Loudest Masterclass is just that - a forum where renowned musicians & producers conduct intimate exclusive workshops for a niche segment of artists, imparting knowledge, network, celebrate, and connect multiple stakeholders of Indian & Global music industry.
