CAIT threatens nationwide protests against Sachin Tendulkar for endorsing Chinese investment company
The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has said that it will hold nationwide protests if the ace cricketer does not pull out of the endorsement deal by this Sunday.
Taking a dig at cricketer Sachin Tendulkar for becoming the brand ambassador of Paytm First Games, a Chinese investment company, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has lashed out at him saying that in the current extraordinary circumstances when there is a faceoff between India & China like a cold war, the acceptance of becoming Brand Ambassador for Chinese money invested Company clearly shows his utter greedy attitude money instead of standing with the Country.
The CAIT while criticising Sachin Tendulkar for this uncalled for act said that he should answer to the country whether for him the money is important or the Nation? The CAIT further said that this decision of Sachin has not only annoyed the trading community but even his fans also.
In a joint statement, the National President of CAIT, B. C Bhartia and the Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that on the one hand a large Chinese investment company is being caught spying in India and about 10 thousand prominent persons of the Country including the President & Prime Minister are being constantly monitored by Chinese companies which amply explain China's ill-intentions towards India whereas on the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar, who calls himself the son of India, has no shame in becoming the brand ambassador of a China-invested company insulting the trust of the countrymen.
"The people of the country have decorated him great honor, love and affection who were ditched by him. It is also a big insult to our heroic army which is currently guarding the Country even in adverse circumstances and weather at the borders of the Country and the on the other hand there is a group of alleged big men like Sachin Tendulkar who live in large bungalows but least bothered about the sentiments of the people", the statement added.
The CAIT has said that it will wait till Sunday for the response to the letter that has been sent to the ace cricketer.
"In case we do not receive any response, then demonstrations will be held across the Country against his attitude", said the statement.
