Bestseller raises a Toast with Super Saturday

The 6th edition of Super Saturday, an event presented by Bestseller India, was held across 3 cities – 27th May 2017, Mumbai & 3rd June 2017 in Bangalore and Delhi. The event saw shoppers across the country experience buying garments and accessories from Jack n Jones, Vero Moda and ONLY at flat 60% off. 

Changing the offer each year, Toast Events was mandated for conceptualizing and executing the same.

Commenting on the event Krutekka Machado, said, “I’ve never quite seen anything of this magnitude in India. The entire journey from inception to working on it on ground, executing the promotional activities and actually reaching out to people and seeing them queue up as early at 1 am left me flabbergasted. The main joy is when you see those customers walking out elated and that odd smile in your direction, that makes all the long hours and effort worth it. The love people have for the brand is evident. We can only see this growing in the years to come. Looking forward to the next edition."

The idea behind the concept of ‘Super Saturday 100% off ‘, was to add to the flat 60% discount, wherein customers could avail gift vouchers equivalent to their purchase value, redeemable against later purchases. This meant customers that shopped for a worth of 20,000 got Gift vouchers worth 20,000. This year the 18-hour sale saw shoppers queueing up as early as 2a.m. in the morning and lasting all day.

In Delhi and Bangalore bar and restaurant promotions were run all over the city targeting right groups for Super Saturday. This was structured to enhance the foot fall for the shopping fest and conversion rate turned out to be a huge success. They placed promoters in all the venues and handed out Golden bands which was priority entry to the store. We saw customers beaming with joy when they received these bands.

Golden ticket (priority entry) & Facebook coupon (Express entry) gave shoppers immediate access to the store. The highest number of the Golden tickets were sold in 2017 as compared with the sales in the prior editions of the same event.

The crowds were entertained by a DJ who set the mood with upbeat music and an anchor who engaged the crowd in dancing, singing and other activities, allowing people to jump the queue.
