Alchemist to take 2nd edition of Delhi Theatre Festival to 3 cities

In April this year, a unique two day festival, Delhi Theatre Festival showcased its debut edition at Siri Fort Auditorium with full houses. The festival organized by Alchemist Marketing featured Naseeruddin Shah and Rajit Kapur’s "A Walk in the Woods", Ek Mulaqaat featuring Shekhar Suman and Deepti Naval, and Barff with Saurabh Shukla .


Manish Porwal, Managing Director of Alchemist states, “We received a phenomenal response for the first edition and we want to build on that experience and branch out into more cities and involve regional theatre and well as budding talent.”

In December 2017 , the festival will return with its 2nd edition in two more cities apart from New Delhi- Mumbai and Bangalore. The festival will also rope in a key theatre personality as the festival curator. The festival will also showcase international productions Europe, and a mix of 10 regional and English productions from India, over a multi-venue event. There will be panel discussions and workshops as well as a platform for the best amateurs of the city to showcase their talent. Along with a host of panel discussions, theatre workshops and other exciting activities apart from the plays, the 2nd edition is set to be even bigger and better, making this a unique festival.

The initiative is a brainchild of Alchemist Marketing and Talent Solutions. The company is known for its annual production of Anoushka Shankar’s concerts, as well as for organizing shows and live entertainment in India and abroad.
