AMU Litfest Cancelled On Third Day Due To Law And Order Issues

Organised by the University Debating and Literary Club, the festival was scheduled to be held from May 20 to 22 amid the Covid-19 pandemic

Claiming to law and order concerns, authorities of Aligarh Muslim University have cancelled the AMU literature festival on its third and last day, with the organisers locked out of the venue. 

University Debating and Literary Club, AMU took to Twitter and wrote, "The Day 3 of the #AMULitFest2022 stands cancelled as of now. Although we haven’t received any official word, the event venue has been made inaccessible to the @udlc_amu. We have not been able to establish any communication with the relevant authorities. Further updates awaited."

Organised by the University Debating and Literary Club, the festival was scheduled to be held from May 20 to 22 amid the Covid-19 pandemic. 

The event was supposed to witness debates and deliberations during the days to evenings filled with music and rhythm. However, on May 21, university authorities cancelled the event due to “law and order” concerns.
