ACE 2014 Jury meet takes place in the scenic Udaipur
The Jury meet for Event Management Federation’s ACE 2014 awards ceremony will take place today in the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar, Udaipur - founded in 1553 by Maharana Udai Singh. Udaipur or the ‘Venice of the East’, as it is often referred to is not just known for its scenic locations but for its culture and Rajput-era palaces.
Although ACE 2014 is an initiative by Gujarati event fraternity, the venue for its Jury meet in a different state altogether was a sheer display of friendship turning into a business opportunity. It is probably one-of-its kind where friendship has taken the experience of Jury to a new height. The close friendship that the president of EMF, Dr Jaydeep Mehta shares with the Maharaj Kumar - Prince of Mewar, Lakshyaraj Singh, resulted in the Prince of Mewar inviting EMF to host its ACE 2014’s Jury meet at the HRH Group of Hotels property in Udaipur. This also reflects the strong bond that the state of Mewar shares with Gujarat.
The esteemed Jury members will arrive at the culturally rich and scenic city to sort and vote for the best work executed by the various event organizations across Gujarat, from small to big - the result of which will be announced during the ACE 2014 awards ceremony.
The HRH Group of Hotels from Udaipur will host the Jury meet with accommodations being done at the historic Fateh Prakash Palace. The day begins with a lunch at Shiv Niwas Palace for Jury members, following which, the Jury will begin the process of opening sealed nominations for voting. When the Jury is over, a special dinner has been arranged at the famous ‘Jagmandir’, which serves food from the same kitchen that caters to the current custodian of Mewar dynasty - Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur. The next morning breakfast will be served at the ‘Sunset Terrace’, Fateh Prakash palace overseeing the beautiful ‘Fateh Sagar’ lake.
