9XO and 100 Pipers Present ‘City Of M’ – Hyderabad’s 1st Music Festival

?

They say that there’s no amount of wealth, nor any movie or painting that could lift your spirit up as high and as fast as the opening lines of your favorite song and that’s the basic ideology behind the idea that brought City of M to life. Hyderabad's 1st Music Festival is the first of its kind, three day celebration of music in Andhra Pradesh, aimed at fostering and creating the music-festival culture. It encompasses a line-up of immensely popular bands and artists from across the country, showcasing their eclectic repertoire for music enthusiasts in Hyderabad. City of M is the brain-child of Mr. Bharat Verma - CEO, Pride Events Pvt Ltd.

“Our main sponsors are 9XO and 100 Pipers, airline partner – IndiGo, Coke, Tollywood TV5 and a few more. The main source of revenue is solely ticket sales. The festival takes place at the city’s expansive Leonia Resorts, which also hosted a Poets Of The Fall concert last year. The lineup of the festival features a host of Indian indie acts over two stages at the festival. 1 dedicated to 'rock and fusion' and one for 'EDM'”, says Vyom Chaturvedi, Marketing Manager, City of M.

“Instead of searching for just any international artist as a publicity stunt, we have concentrated on providing great music by promoting the amazing talent that we know exists within the country and have lined up the best bands and EDM artists from across India under one roof! Everything about our festival revolves around the experience we want to offer! An experience so unique and so complete that for the duration of those 4 days, we want you to create your own feeling”, says Vyom Chaturvedi.

The first wave of artists is as follows - The Circus, Barefaced Liar, Agnee, Indian Ocean, Mojo Jojo, Audio Units, Dale Anderson, Lost Stories, FuzzCulture, Gravy Train, Blakc, Aditya Jassi, Euphoria, DJ Skip, Sound Avtar, Dualist Inquiry, Nucleya, Dhruv Visvanath, The Doppler Effect, Swarathma, Demonic Resurrection, Pentagram, Praveen Achary, Kohra, Arjun Vagale and a lot more.

What’s unique about the event are the various other attractions that the brains behind the event have come up with. Everyone knows what its like to lrking around in the grounds waitinf for your favourite artist to perform. To make sure you are not bored for even a minute, the event producers have come up with acticities like Flow RiderIndia’s first surfing ridge with wave technology that offers fun and excitement of water surfing and skateboarding, Paint Ball, Artist Interaction and Autograph Zones - The main aim of the interaction zones would be to promote artist – fan interaction and make the artists approachable, in turn allowing the artists to promote their latest work and reaching out to their fans with their latest updates – A first of its kind initiative, an Exhibition Area, Carnival Zone and a lot more.

“There hasn’t been a big event in Hyderabad till now. It’s one of the biggest cities in India in terms of the demographic, and the economy is fuelled by the service sector, young professionals who work in big corporates and BPOs. We want to provide a venue for music lovers to listen to great music at affordable prices. We also want to promote the music festival culture and the Indian music scene in Hyderabad. Great music doesn’t necessarily mean international bands. I personally believe we have some great Indian artists, but we weren’t promoting them enough here.”  says Bharath Varma, CEO of Pride Events.

So join the madness and be a part of the energy at City of M, a feeling of being immortal...created through music. Following the event is "City of M 2014 Prologue" -  the after party to City of M 2013 and the official New-Year’s Eve event, under the "City of M" brand umbrella. Congratulations, Hyderabad, you’ve finally got your very own music festival.
