According to a report, the blockchain spends in India has increased at 103.4% during 2018 to reach US$ 154.8 million. Over the forecast period (2019-2025), spend on blockchain is expected to record a CAGR of 47.3%, increasing from US$ 289 million in 2019 to reach US$ 4,348.3 million by 2025.
Just last month, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, voiced his support in blockchain as an “opportunity in frontier technology,” reviving hopes for the country as it slowly embraces cryptocurrencies. With the PM’s advocacy in upcoming technologies like IoT, 5G, big data analytics, and blockchain, it can reverberate in different sectors of businesses as the country has the capability of becoming a central part for crypto activities.
