Capital witnesses one-of-its-kind celebration for women- 'STREE' focused on self-growth, self-empowerment and most importantly self-love.

To honour the event Ms Rita Bahuguna Joshi - Member of Parliament was the Chief Guest of the event.

An initiative by Sipping Thoughts and supported by Ferns N Petals, 'STREE' focused on self-growth, self-empowerment and most importantly self-love. It was a one-day event which took place at Pavilion by FNP Gardens on 5th August 2019, to celebrate women. To honour the event Ms Rita Bahuguna Joshi -Member of Parliament was the Chief Guest of the event.

The event was packed with workshops and interactive discussions by inspiring personalities like Liza Verma, Dr Varun Katyal, Ambica Pillai, Malini Ramani, Sandip Soparrkar, and many others. There were panel discussions on topics like Breaking Barriers, Women the Change and Unfiltered Life. Ssumier Pasricha a.k.a. Pammi Aunty brought in the laughter with real-life stories reaching out the women’s heart. The event also witnessed Buddhist hymns and chants by famous Buddhist Nun Ani Choying.

Being socially responsible and an ardent believer of women empowerment, Ms Meeta Gutgutia, Director, Ferns N Petals & Co-Founder, Sipping Thoughts had conceptualized this event. Speaking during the occasion, she said, “I welcome all my guests and friends who have come to CELEBRATE with us. We aim to bring out a Stree in one and all through this initiative of ours. We aim to celebrate woman who is empowered, who is aware, who has the strength, knowledge and courage and one who is divided into multiple roles. Stree has always been nurturing everyone else. It’s time to give back and come together to nurture the soul of women.”

Sukriti Gupta, Co-Founder, Sipping Thoughts, reiterated that a thought is all that it takes to change the world. She added, “This event gives women an opportunity to connect, inspire and support each other. It is our honour to curate such an event with inspiring keynotes by influential leaders.”

The event also supported Humans for Humanity for its ‘Menstrual hygiene project’ and Nun’s Welfare Foundation of Nepal. Women from all walks of life were part of the celebration.
